The Share-A-Christmas Food Drive will run from November 16-21 at Hiland HS/MS. You can drop your items off in the lobby to one of the NHS members each morning from 7:25-7:45 a.m. The class that brings in the most items will receive donuts on a day before Christmas Break!

We have always been fortunate to have a great relationship with Buckeye Career Center. Buckeye not only provides great opportunities for high school students, but also offers full-time and part-time educational opportunities for recent high school graduates and adults of all ages. Representatives from the Ohio Technical Centers will be offering a free webinar on October 17th at 6:30pm for anyone interested in hearing more information about vocational careers and postsecondary options at Buckeye. Thanks to the Holmes Soil and Water Conservation District for providing East Holmes students hands on learning yesterday at the Annual 5th grade farm tour! Students rotated through stations with topics that included -- farming, forestry and maple syrup production, wildlife, soils, stream study and a tour of Walnut Creek Planing.
