
Check out Mrs. Megan Mullet's students as they work to dip strawberries in chocolate and then decorate them. Mrs. Mullet's first grade classroom annually dips berries to share with the school and family.






The month of February is a great month to collaborate with friends and to complete projects that are focused on Valentine's Day. KA, KB, and KC took time to plan several activities that brough the classes together.





Mrs. Weaver and her first grade class has been learning about energy and force. The students in 1C used their leadership skills to teach 1A and 1B all they had learned. Check out all the cool activities they planned and taught to the other first grade classes.

January is School Board Recognition Month; you can celebrate by thanking a BOE member in our community!


We have added 3 new baskets and a few more to come. Students can buy raffle tickets each morning for .50 cents a ticket. The evening of February 2nd, tickets will also be sold. Thanks to all of our families for helping to fill the baskets with goodies.




Beginning tomorrow and continuing through February 2nd, students in grades 3 through 6 will be selling tickets each morning for a variety of raffle baskets. Tickets can be purchased each morning by students from 8:30 until 9:10 for .50 cents a ticket. You are free to purchase as many tickets as you like. Tickets will also be sold at our Leadership event on February 2nd. The photos are a few of the 8 baskets we will have for the raffle.




Reminder: Parents, report cards will come home with students today! Check in with your student about their progress, and be sure to reach out to their teachers if you have any questions.


Today might be the last day of school before break, but the last 2 weeks were full as East Holmes students participated in 10 concerts. The talents and skills of our students were on display, and we are so proud! Enjoy your Christmas break, and we look forward to students returning on January 3rd!

The 5th and 6th grade choir from Berlin, Walnut Creek and Winesburg performed for a packed theater on Monday, December 14th. Thank-you Mr. Looney and students for all your hard work.


The annual Berlin Elementary spelling bee took place on Monday, November 21st. Students from 5th and 6th grade competed for the right to move on to the Homes County bee in January. Nathaniel Norem and Gabrielle Mullet will represent Berlin at the bee again this year. Juan Gomez will be the alternate. Great Job Spellers!



With the help of Mrs. Shoup and Mrs. Hershberger, the third grade staff led students and parents through various activities focused on reading. Students and parents had the opportunity to visit 9 different learning stations. Literacy days are well attended and a huge hit with our students. Thanks to all for another great literacy day.
